Supply And Demand is the launch exhibition in art + space’s POP UP programming. Drawing from the history of the Superior Distributing building on Fort Wayne Ave. as a hardware supply store and warehouse, a selected group of artists will be offered access to the now vacant space to design, build and make an artwork before the building is razed and re-developed later this year.

Each artist has selected a space within the building to respond to, will have one month of access to transform, break down, or re- work their site, and is allowed to appropriate any materials found inside the building to create their piece. The exhibition will feature sound, video, sculpture, photography, installation and painting.

art + space’s POP UP programming promotes forward thinking contemporary art and design by mid-career and emerging artists. By providing temporary platforms for collaborative, innovative artist led projects, our goal is to use these transient spaces to showcase art and ideas around the city.

*Opening night for Supply And Demand is a $25 ticketed fundraising event.  A portion of the proceeds from the evening will support Arts For Learning, the Indiana Affiliate of Young Audiences. Refreshments and entertainment provided.
